Sushant Singh Rajput’s funeral tomorrow, family to fly to Mumbai

Sunday afternoon was followed by a rather unpleasant news for the fans of “MS Dhoni: The Untold Story” actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

Sushant Singh Rajput’s funeral is to take place in Mumbai on Monday, his family told India Today Television. Sushant’s father will fly down to the city from Patna tomorrow. Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his Bandra home in Mumbai on Sunday morning in an apparent suicide.

The 34-year-old actor was found dead at his Mumbai home. The star who rose to fame with the daily soap “Pavitra Rishta”, had soon become a popular name in Bollywood. Take a look at some rare pics of the actor.

The reasons for Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide are not clear as the actor left no note before ending his life. The police have recovered some items including his medical records for investigation. The postmortem will reveal what injuries he suffered in the process but the reason behind the suicide may never come out. Police have said that the actor was seeking psychiatric help.

Sushant’s body was taken to Cooper hospital in Mumbai where the police conducted a postmortem. His funeral will take place in Mumbai tomorrow, after his father flies down to the city from Patna, where he now lives.

Sushant Singh Rajput was only 34 years old when he ended his life. The actor, who broke on to the big screen with his first film, Kai Po Che, in 2013, has worked in several Bollywood films in the next years.

The entire country was shocked beyond words on Sunday afternoon, when the news of Sushant’s death broke. From Bollywood to sports stars, to political leaders, everyone has been pouring their condolences on social media.

Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide on Sunday morning

Sushant Singh Rajput was born in Patna in 1986. His ancestral village is in Bihar’s Purnea. Sushant lost his mother when he was only 16 years old. Time and again, Sushant had said how the death of his mother changed him as a person.

In 2002, after his mother’s death, his family moved from Patna to Delhi. Sushant studied Engineering for three years in Delhi before dropping out of college and moving to Mumbai to chase his Bollywood dreams.

After Kai Po Che, Sushant Singh Rajput had delivered a number of hits and some films that did not work at the box office. MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, the biopic on former Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, changed his box office journey. The film went on to become a massive blockbuster, catapulting Sushant to unbelievable fame. Sushant Singh Rajput’s last film, Chhichhore, that released in 2019, was a sleeper hit.
