Rajinikanth starrer ‘Jailer’ is just days away from its grand theatrical release, and the film is locked to have its FDFS on August 10. The expectations are high for the Pan-Indian drama, and the bookings for the film in the USA have begun well ahead of schedule. ‘Jailer’ USA premiere collections have reportedly grossed over $350K from 170+ locations, and the film looks super strong with 6 days to go for the film release. The premiere collection of the action drama will surpass the half-million mark with ease, and we have to wait to see where the film’s final collection stands at the end. Meanwhile, the ‘Jailer’ premiere collection ($350K+) has surpassed Kamal Haasan’s ‘Vikram’ premiere collection ($325K).
Rajinikanth’s last release, ‘Annaatthe, reportedly earned around $960K at the USA box office despite the pandemic situation in 2021, but ‘Jailer’ is going to break the box office collection of the actor’s last release for sure.
‘Jailer’ bookings in Tamil Nadu have begun in some of the locations, while the bookings in the remaining screens are expected to be opened by the weekend. The Rajinikanth starrer is set to have an extended first weekend as the film releases on Thursday, and the Independence Day holiday on the first Tuesday will help the film advance well at the box office.
Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, ‘Jailer’ features Rajinikanth in the lead role with a stellar supporting cast that includes Jackie Shroff, Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, Sunil, Ramya Krishnan, Tamannaah, Vasanth Ravi, Yogi Babu, and Redin Kingsley, among others. Anirudh Ravichander has scored the music, and the film’s showcase that was released recently has increased the fans’ expectations.
