CHENNAI: Since long rumour mill is abuzz that superstar Rajinikanth will join politics. But, Rajini Sir himself has neither confirmed nor denied the news.
Once again reports suggest that Rajinikanth will soon make his plunge into politics, after Narendra Modi has been declared as BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate for forthcoming Lok Sabha elections in 2014. Sources say the veteran actor is close to Modi.
Moreover, Tamil Nadu unit of BJP sent out feelers to superstar Rajinikanth. Making an appeal to the Tamil movie icon recently was BJP state president Pon Radhakrishnan who is in Trichy supervising preparations for a youth rally scheduled to be addressed by Modi on September 26.
The Tamil movie icon originally hails from Bangalore and did several Kannada movies Thappida Thala, Garjana, Maathu Tappada Maga, and Kumkuma Rakshe, to name a few and has a huge fan following across Karnataka.
