It looks like a new discovery made by the team of Harvard University is likely to create a major uproar in the Christian world. Well, the discovery is of a papyrus fragment believed to be from fourth century BC and this has given an explicit evidence of Jesus Christ talking about his wife.

This has given rise to new speculations on whether Jesus was married. This piece of papyrus was revealed during a conference in Rome by Karen King, the professor of Divinity at the Harvard Divinity School in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The size of the fragment is no more than a business card.

Though the catholic church has insisted that Jesus was never married but in 2003 a publication by Dan Brown titled Da Vinci Code claiming that Jesus was married to Mary Magdalene and had two children has questioned the truth. Experts will now conduct further tests on the papyrus fragment.
