Global business meet for Indian diaspora

Mumbai — A global business meet to provide a platform to the Indian diaspora will be held in New York next month by New Global Indian Foundation (NGIF), a representative said here Tuesday.

"For the first time, global Indian leaders will be coming together from sectors as varied as business, spiritual, politics, think-tanks, among others, to discuss global business," said Kanchan Banerjee, chairman of NGIF and convener of Global Indian Business Meet (GIBM) 2012.

"For the first time, global Indian leaders will be coming together from sectors as varied as business, spiritual, politics, think-tanks, among others, to discuss global business," said Kanchan Banerjee, chairman of NGIF and convener of Global Indian Business Meet (GIBM) 2012.

GIBM 2012 is a business platform of the Indian diaspora and will connect business leaders, entrepreneurs, knowledge experts and investors of Indian origin from around the world.

President Pranab Mukherjee is likely to address the inaugural session of the meet.

GIBM 2012 is scheduled Sep 20-23 at Manhattan, New York.

The event is partnered by Incredible India, Fidelis World, Q-Net, Max Health, Nano Holdings, FICCI, NASSCOM and IBPC Dubai, among others.

Ten Indian-origin achievers and seven business, entertainment, ecology and professional leaders from India shall be presented NGI Excellence Awards.

Achievers from India will be given Swami Vivekananda Leadership awards.
