The ATP, or Association of Tennis Professionals, released its revised rankings after the 2011 Australian Open just hours after the Women’s Tennis Association [WTA] updated the list of female players.
For most of the Top Ten players, there has been very little change in the ranking spots. However, the number of points gained or lost has increased.
Uzbek man in US pleads guilty in Obama murder plot

WASHINGTON: An Uzbek man living in the United States pleaded guilty in federal court in the southern state of Alabama to planning to kill US President Barack Obama.
Twenty-two-year-old Ulugbek Kodirov was arrested in an undercover operation while trying to obtain explosives and guns, the US Justice Department said in a statement.

Australia made it two wins out of two in the Commonwealth Bank One-Day International series by holding off a late charge to beat Sri Lanka by five runs in Perth.
They had looked to be in control after reducing Sri Lanka to 180 for nine having themselves been dismissed for 231 only to almost fall prey to an ambush led by Angelo Mathews and Dammika Prasad.

World’s ‘last’ First World War veteran dies

LONDON: The world's last surviving First World War veteran, whos erved in Britain's Women's Royal Air Force (WRAF), has died aged 110, British media reported.
Florence Green, who joined the WRAF as a 17-year-old in 1918, was believed to be the last veteran of the 1914-1918 conflict.
