CHENNAI: Actor Rajinikanth said Sunday he will enter politics and float his own party, putting an end to speculation among his fans in Tamil Nadu, which has seen film stars dominating politics.
“It is the compulsion of time that I have to start out with a new political party for the next assembly general elections. Across Tamil Nadu, I will contest all 234 seats (2021),” Rajinikanth said amid a huge round of applause at Sri Raghavendra Kalyana Mandapam in Chennai.
