Baahubali 2 is creating history with its box-office collection. The Beginning, which released in 2015, became one of the highest grossing Indian films and raked in Rs 650 crore worldwide.

Fans finally got an answer to the million-dollar question, "Why did Kattapa kill Baahubali?", with the release of "Baahubali 2: The Conclusion" on April 28. Click through for an exclusive glimpse into the Telugu epic.

It looks like the first part is miniscule compared to The Conclusion, in terms of scale and box-office figures. On Friday, the Prabhas-starrer witnessed 90 per cent occupancy in theatres. According to Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar, the film netted Rs 121 crore on its opening day in India.

Baahubali: The Conclusion, which received rave reception from critics and audience, crossed the Rs 200 crore mark on Saturday. However, as per trade pundits,  Baahubali 2 has more than Rs 300 crore in 2 days and is marching towards Rs 400 crore.

Trade analyst Ramesh Bala took to Twitter to share the figures.

It must be noted that Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan's PK is so far the highest grossing Indian film of all time and collected Rs 792 crore worldwide. However, considering the unprecedented craze it had among on the audience, Baahubali 2 is expected to rake in Rs 1000 crore at the box office.

Meanwhile, the film has been doing tremendous business in the overseas market as well. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote:

Last week, Baahubali 2 had fantastic response in advance booking sales. Popular booking site BookMyShow had reportedly sold a million tickets.

Made on a budget of Rs 250 crore, the film has already fetched enough moolah for the producers and reportedly raked in Rs 500 crore through its satellite and distribution rights. Baahubali 2 is released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi.

Baahubali: The Beginning ended with Katappa revealing himself as the killer of Amarendra Baahubali. And The Conclusion takes the story forward from where its predecessor ended.

Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah, Sathyaraj and Ramya Krishnan star in pivotal roles in this instalment of Baahubali too.
