Interestingly, Ajith's co-star and Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh praised Thala for the same.
But did you know that Jayalalithaa was the reason behind Ajith's weight loss? Yes, you heard it right.
According to a report in Behindwoods, it was Ajith Kumar's meeting with late Puratchi Thalaivi Jayalalithaa that motivated Thala to hit the gym. When Vedalam hit the screens in 2015, Ajith Kumar reportedly met Jayalalaithaa at her residence in Chennai. During the course of their meeting, Jaya quizzed about Ajith's beefed up body, which supposedly triggered the latter.
It must be noted that Jayalalithaa was very fond of Ajith Kumar.
Directed by Siruthai Siva, Vivegam will see Ajith Kumar as a suave Interpol officer, who is in charge of a crime investigation in Chennai.
Also starring Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi, Kajal Aggarwal and Akshara Haasan, the film has music by Anirudh Ravichander, who reuniting with Ajith after the commercial success of Vedalam.
While the teaser is likely to out in May, the film is expected to release in June.
