Indian Army recruitment goes online, candidates can apply 2 months in advance

NEW DELHI -- Making online registration mandatory, the Army has asked aspiring candidates to apply online at least 60 days before the commencement of the recruitment rally.

Spokesperson of Defence Service Welfare Punjab on Monday said online registration process on www.joinindianarmy.nic.in is mandatory for all candidates.

India is less than corrupt than China, albeit marginally so, a new report by anti-graft organisation Transparency International has said.

In the study of 175 countries, India ranked 85, ahead China which came at 100, the Corruption Perceptions Index 2014 said.

Transparency International says based on "expert opinion" from around the world, the Corruption Perceptions Index measures the perceived levels of public sector corruption worldwide.
