HSBC whistleblower Falciani sentenced to 5 years in prison
Geneva/New Delhi: HSBC whistleblower Herve Falciani, whose 'Swissleaks' revelation which forced the Indian government to probe ill-gotten money stashed abroad, was sentenced in absentia to five years in prison by a Swiss federal court.

Falciani, who refused to appear for trial in Switzerland, has been charged with industrial espionage. He is having dual French and Italian nationalities.
