Kejriwal: AAP leaders will be meeting Election Commission to register a formal complaint
The Aam Aadmi Party on Saturday charged that attempts were being made to delete names of of its supporters from voter list and enter the names of those who support the Bharatiya Janata Party. The AAP has been the most vociferous in demanding immediate conduct of fresh polls to the Delhi Assembly.
AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal while raising the issue of fresh elections, tweeted that according to a “BJP source”, a “top BJP leader has directed all Delhi BJP MLAs to get at least 5000 fake votes made in each const n get AAP votes deleted”.
He further claimed that the “bribe rate” for getting the votes made or deleted has also been fixed. “Rs.1500 for new fake vote, Rs.200 to get any vote deleted. This info given by someone who did this job for BJP last week,” the former Delhi Chief Minister tweeted.
Making it evident that his party will not take the changes lying down, he said the AAP leaders would be meeting the Election Commission officials on Monday to register a “formal complaint”.
The AAP also tweeted that photographs of voters are being copied to make fake identity cards. “For the naysayers! People have 2-3 voter ids without their knowledge, photo of photo used,” it claimed in a tweet that showed the face of the same person on three voter identity cards.
In an earlier tweet on October 21, too, Mr. Kejriwal had claimed that “sources say BJP will make last attempt to ‘buy’ MLAs n form govt in del. Strange? BJP so scared of elections in Del even after Maha n Haryana?”
