Patna: The BJP has begun its rally in Patna even as a series of low-intensity blasts have occurred ahead of the rally. One person has been killed in the blasts.

Billed as the biggest rally ever in the state by the Bihar BJP, the blasts have led to security being heightened.

Earlier, a bomb exploded on a platform of the Patna railway station Sunday morning, injuring two people, and another was recovered, police said.

The bomb exploded at the recently-constructed platform number 10 at the Patna junction station around 10.30 a.m. ahead of the Bharatiya Janata Party's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi's "hunkar" rally here, police said.

Patna Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Manu Maharaj said a team from Patna police bomb squad also recovered a live bomb, and the injured have been admitted to the Patna Medical College and Hospital.
