Delhi Daredevils:

Despite scouting missions to Australia, the Daredevils made no grandstand signings in the auction. Instead, they readied themselves for this season by retaining the quality they already have. Look out for Morne Morkel, Virender Sehwag and Mahela Jayawardene.

Squad: Mahela Jayawardene (capt), Varun Aaron, Ajit Agarkar, Gulam Bodi, Johan Botha, Unmukt Chand, Royston Dias, Muralidharen Gautam, Kedar Jadhav, Manprit Juneja, Siddarth Kaul, Jeevan Mendis, Morne Morkel, Shahbaz Nadeem, Yogesh Nagar, Sujit Nayak, Pawan Negi, Ashish Nehra, Naman Ojha (wk), Irfan Pathan, Andre Russell, Jesse Ryder, Virender Sehwag, Aristh Singhvi, Roelof van der Merwe, Venugopal Rao, David Warner, Umesh Yadav.

Kings XI Punjab:

Old stager Adam Gilchrist again leads the notoriously frugal side. They only snapped up a few players to complement the likes of Dimitri Mascarenhas and Ryan Harris.

Squad: Adam Gilchrist (capt), Parvinder Awana, Azhar Mahmood, Bhargav Bhatt, Bipul Sharma, Piyush Chawla, Siddharth Chitnis, Aniket Choudhary, Manpreet Gony, Gurkeerat Singh Mann, Harmeet Singh, Ryan Harris, David Hussey, Praveen Kumar, Mandeep Singh, Shaun Marsh, Dimitri Mascarenhas, David Miller, Luke Pomersbach, Nitin Saini, Sandeep Sharma, Sunny Singh, Paul Valthaty, Manan Vohra.

Mumbai Indians:

The only million dollar man came to the Indians, with Glenn Maxwell the priciest player in the auction. The franchise was also able to snap up Ricky Ponting for the base price of $400k. Add Sachin Tendulker, Harbhajan Singh and Lasith Malinga into the mix and this team is a big draw.

Royal Challengers Bangalore:

Chris Gayle and Daniel Vettori may be Challengers, but this team is no longer packed with famous names from bygone tests. They have bought more players than any others, with four overseas players coming in, but this is an exciting team.
