Doctors are considered to be doing a very noble profession. They are sometimes treated like a god by their patients and their family members. But a few of the doctors have been bringing disgrace to this godly profession these days.

Doctors are considered to be doing a very noble profession. They are sometimes treated like a god by their patients and their family members. But a few of the doctors have been bringing disgrace to this godly profession these days.
Patients are warned not to blindly follow the prescriptions given by a doctor. Even when a test is asked to be taken, there are possibilities that these tests are not necessary. Doctors are now following the cheap trick of pushing out-dated or expensive medicines to their patients in order to make profit. On the other side, the medicines does not give any improvement in the patient's health. The same applies to unwanted tests too.
To create awareness on the issue, AIIMS will hold an international meet , the first of its kind in the world , where experts will discuss how standard guidelines can be evolved for treating diseases. Patients must ask their doctor about the pros and cons of the treatment offered before making a decision.
