Woman journalist shot and injured in Arunachal

Itanagar: Another tragic incident today that a journalist of Arunachal Pradesh working for Arunachal Times was shot from a close distance while she was entering her office around 6 pm by some unknown mob.

Thirty-four-year-old Rina is associate editor of Arunachal Times, a popular daily newspaper, of Itanagar.

Itanagar: Another tragic incident today that a journalist of Arunachal Pradesh working for Arunachal Times was shot from a close distance while she was entering her office around 6 pm by some unknown mob.

Thirty-four-year-old Rina is associate editor of Arunachal Times, a popular daily newspaper, of Itanagar.

 She was rushed to the hospital by her co workers and doctors say that as the bullet was hit through her spinal cord and intestines leaving a major blood loss. She is out of danger now. Police have registered the case and are investigating further.

Chief Minister Nabam Tuki rushed to Ramakrishna Mission Hospital, where she is undergoing operation, after hearing the incident.

The police have launched a manhunt to arrest the culprits, sources said.
