WASHINGTON: Chairman PPP‚ Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has renewed calls for improved ties between the US and Pakistan on both civil and military levels.

Addressing a selected gathering of US and Pakistan officials‚ scholars‚ journalists and think tank experts in Washington the PPP Chairman said it is time to turn a new corner to re-establish the working relationship in political and military partnership between Pakistan and the United States for a stable‚ South and Central Asia.

He pointed out that due to tensions between the two allies’ bilateral interests and common targets were being harmed.

Chairman PPP‚ Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has expressed confidence that Pakistan and the United States will resolve their issues as they have commonality of goal and aim.

Bilawal added that the reaction by the US Senate on the sentencing of Dr. Shahkil Afridi has made the situation between the countries worse.
