Ekk Deewana Tha Storylines:

The story is based on Sachin (played by Prateik), a 22-year-old engineering graduate from a middle-class family in Mumbai. He has a craze for cinema immensely and aims to fulfil his dreams by going into this line. He struggles hard to succeed via his pocket money that he has with him.

Awaiting for this big break, Sachin comes across a lovely girl Jessie and falls in love with her instantly. She is good-looking and smart girl but one year older than her and belongs to an orthodox Malayali Christian family. In her family watching movies, partying or falling in love are absolutely prohibited.

Jessie (played by Amy) on the other hand too loves the company of Sachin and does friendship and feels for him, but tries to hide the friendship from her family. There’s lot of family drama occurring as the story moves on with an interesting climax whether Sachin and Jessie will be together at the end.

Ekk Deewana Thais portrayed as strong, yet feel good love story of two different characters and how they cooperate with the pains and pleasure of first love.

Performance:

Prateik has really outdone in his character Sachin in Ekk Deewana Tha in which he has played the main solo lead, after his first solo in ‘My friend Pinto’.

Slowly but steadily Prateik has improved his standard with his latest multi-starrers like ‘Jane Tu..Ya Jaane Na’, ‘Dhobi Ghat’ and ‘Aarakshan’.

This movie is Amy Jackson’s first movie, but she has tried her level best to suit in her character Jessie.

The other actors- Manu Rishi, Ramesh Sippy, Sachin Khedekar and others too have given their best shots in Ekk Deewana Tha.

Music Performance:

Songs- ‘Hosanna’ and ‘Sunlo Zara’ has surely touched audiences’ hearts which are sung by the talented A.R. Rahman. Though Hosanna song came into controversy from a Christian group, but it still manged to sail smoothly.
