Mumbai Municipal Corporations Election 2012 Results is for 227/227 seats

  • Shiv Sena – BJP+ : 107 seats
  • Congress – NCP +: 65 seats
  • MNS : 29 seats
  • Others : 26 seats

In Mumbai, Shiv Sena-BJP ruled the top list ahead in 103 seats, whereas Congress-NCP combination was ahead in 63 seats.

As per the 2007 results Shiv Sena have grabbed 84 seats, BJP 28 seats, Congress 71 seats, NCP with 14 seat only, MNS too 7 seat and others having 15 seats .

It is in Thane that the combined pair of Sena-BJP was leading with 53 seats whereas Congress-NCP front in 52 seats.

In Pimpri-Chinchwad, NCP was steering ahead in 30 seats. Overall 2,232 candidates were in the fight for the 227 electoral wards in Mumbai.

Yesterday on Thursday few elections took place for Thane, Pune, Ulhasnagar, Pimpri-Chinchwad, Solapur, Nashik, Akola, Amravati and Nagpur municipal corporations.

The Shiv Sena-BJP combination reigns Mumbai. Its neighbor Thane has total seats of 130, Ulhasnagar has 78 seats, Nashik has 122 seats and Nagpur with 145 seats.
