The uncertainties surrounding the world economy and a high fiscal deficit has pushed India to fourth place globally in terms of economic confidence of the people, a survey has said. As per the survey conducted by research firm Ipsos, India slipped one position to the fourth place in January. The report said that India's economic confidence declined by three points to 65 percent in January.

Salaried employees earning up to Rs 5 lakh a year will not be required to file income tax returns from this year, says a Finance Ministry notification. There are about 85 lakh salaried persons in the country whose yearly income, including earnings from other sources like bank deposits, does not exceed Rs 5 lakh.

There was a time, not so long ago, when I was busy, busy, busy. At least I thought I was.
I told people I worked 60 hours a week. I claimed to sleep six hours a night. As I lamented to anyone stuck next to me at parties, I was basically too busy to breathe. Me time? Ha!
Now I work 45 hours a week and sleep close to eight hours a night. But I'm not getting any less done.

Panchkula (Haryana): Samjhauta blast accused Swami Aseemanand on Wednesday denied in court that he had ever met with Kamal Chauhan, who has accepted that he bombed the train that left 68 dead in February 2007.
He also said that National Investigative Agency ( NIA) was the alleged conspirator in the blast.
