Mumbai: The Reserve Bank today notified the government's decision to increase foreign investment ceiling in defence sector and permitting 100 per cent FDI in railways infrastructure.

After assuming power, the NDA government has reviewed Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) policy for railways sector as well as defence.

Government has permitted 100 per cent FDI in railway infrastructure sector under the automatic route subject to conditions.

Washington: Discarded laptop batteries still have enough life in them to power slums in India and other developing countries, a new study by IBM India has found.

The research presented at a conference in San Jose, US, analyzed a sample of discarded batteries and found 70 per cent had enough power to keep an LED light on for more than four hours a day for a year.

New Delhi: A 25-year-old woman was allegedly raped by a cab driver when she was returning home in Delhi after completing her shift at a Gurgaon-based finance company, police said Saturday.
