India to help Bhutan’s economy

THIMPHU: India has assured Bhutan's new government of its assistance and support in addressing the country's current economic situation.

During the meeting, India's commitment in rendering assistance for the 11th FYP and the Economic Stimulus Plan was also discussed.

PUDUCHERRY: India is 13th on the list of US' largest trading partners, American ambassador to India Nancy J Powel said on Saturday. She said the country made the leap from 25th position to 13th in a decade.
Addressing the members of the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce in Puducherry, she expressed optimism that the bilateral trade between the two countries will soon cross $100 billion.

Washington — A team of three bright young Indian American students beat out teams from 17 other regions to win top honors at the 11th National Geographic World Championship in Russia's St. Petersburg city.
The US team composed entirely of Indian American kids soared ahead of second place Canada, which was up against third-place India in a tense tiebreaker round in the July 31 final, California based ethnic weekly India West reported.
