42 people have been injured after five coaches of the Chennai Mangalore Express derailed near Tamil Nadu's Viruthachalam district. The injured are being rushed to a nearby hospital.

Last month, five people including a Karnataka legislator were killed when a granite-laden truck rammed into an express train at a level crossing in Andhra Pradesh’s Anantapur.
