Ace shooter Gagan Narang makes india proud by clinching the first bronze medal in the men's 10m Air Rifle event and opening India's account in the London Olympic 2012 Games.
Giving the country its first medal in the Olympics 2012, 29-year-old Gagan Narang lived upto expectations to claim the bronze, the third shooting medal in India's Olympic history, but his overall performance was below his personal best.
Cricketing maestro Sachin Tendulkar saluted shooter Gagan Narang for winning the first medal for India at the London Olympics. In a tweet, soon after Gagan Narang got the bronze, Tendulkar said he had made all Indians proud.
"Gagan Narang, you make us proud by winning the first medal in Olympics 2012. Let's hope and pray that we follow it up by achieving many more," the tweet read.
