Washington, June 29 — Dr. Bobby Khan, executive director of Carmel Biosciences, a US clinical research company, has been presented an award for Outstanding Business Collaboration between the US and India.

The award was conferred at the USA-India Business Summit in Atlanta, Georgia, last week, according to a press release from Carmel Biosciences.

The summit brought together industry leaders, academia and public policy makers to share experiences and spur growth in USA-India business and trade relations.

Georgia Governor Nathan Deal said he expected the business summit to encourage an "energetic exchange of new ideas, enhanced global opportunities for businesses in both countries, and proactive steps for moving forward."

India's ambassador to the US Nirupama Rao, said: "The private sector in India and the United States has been the key catalyst in deepening business engagement between our two countries. It is their dynamism and enterprising spirit that continue to chart new trade and economic frontiers in the India-US partnership."
