Nearly two months after a Russian court rejected a ban on a translated version of Bhagvad Gita, a top Siberian prosecutor has now demanded the removal of a Russian comment only from the book for being "extremist", without affecting the canonical text of the scripture.

Mahatma Gandhi and Babasaheb Ambedkar had a lot in common but they could seldom stand each other, Pulitzer Prize winning journalist and author Joseph Lelyveld said in Mumbai on Thursday.
“Borrowing from Joseph Conrad, they both could be called the secret sharers,” he said during a discussion on ‘Gandhi and the struggling subcontinent” organised by the Asia Society.

India Wednesday said it in the final stages of revising its visa agreement with Pakistan to facilitate movement of people, particularly businessmen of both the countries. Commerce and Industry Minister Anand Sharma, who is leading an over 120 people-strong business delegation to Pakistan, said that he had discussed the issue of visa liberalization with the Home Minister.

MUMBAI: India does not intend to censor online social networks such as Facebook, a minister said Tuesday, but he demanded that they obey the same rules governing the press and other media.
“I want to say once and for all, without any obfuscation, no government in India will ever censor social media,” Telecoms Minister Kapil Sibal said at an IT summit in Mumbai.

British newspapers are reporting that during the construction of his latest Italian-focused restaurant in Manchester, England, workers encountered treasures worth £1.1 million — or roughly $1.7 million — housed in the building's basement.
