Chennai — DMK activists will "fill the jails" across Tamil Nadu July 4 to denounce the "vendetta politics" of the AIADMK government, party president M. Karunanidhi said on Friday.

And if they are not released in time, DMK MPs and legislators will still vote in the presidential election next month, he told reporters.

He said he had called for the protests as the government had invoked the Goondas Act on one of its leaders and former minister Veerapandi S. Arumugam.
