Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Thursday condemned Prime Minister Narendra Modi and accused him of being a "dalal" of the blood of soldiers.

Rahul Gandhi accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of having the blood of soldiers on his hands.

"Humare jawan hain, jinho ne khoon diya hai, jinho ne surgical strike kiya, unke khoon ke peeche aap chhupe huye ho, unki aap dalali kar he ho", Gandhi said, addressing the public. He said that the Modi government has only achieved two things so far- profiteering from surgical strikes and creating a divide among Indian citizens. He accused the Indian government of hiding behind the blood of martyrs.

He claimed that the BJP-led government at the centre had failed on all its promises that were made during the 2014 general elections. He said that nation wants justice from Narendra Modi. He firmly asked about the Rs 15 lakh that was promised during the elections. Accusing PM Modi of having the blood of Indian soldiers on his hands, he said that they paid in blood for India.

It was time for Modi to deliver on his promises. He asked the BJP government to provide an increment to the Indian military forces in the 7th pay commission.

He asked Prime Minister Modi to do his duty towards the nation and help the farmers, who are in a poor state in the country.

Earlier, following Indian army Lt Gen Ranbir Singh's address to the public providing information on the surgical strikes by the Indian army to eliminate terrorists across the border, Congress leaders had claimed that similar strikes had also been conducted during their regime, though they did not publicise it.
