India to continue importing oil from Iran: Jaipal

New Delhi: India will continue to import crude oil from Iran as long as doing so does not violate any international laws, Indian Oil Minister Jaipal Reddy said Friday. "We are expecting no cut in Iranian supplies next financial year,"

Reddy told reporters on the sidelines of an industry conference, referring to the 2012-13 financial year starting April 1.

Reddy told reporters on the sidelines of an industry conference, referring to the 2012-13 financial year starting April 1.

On the US sanctions targeting Iran and the European Union embargo of Iranian crude oil, he said, "We respect the US sentiments and we have asked them to appreciate our needs."
