MUMBAI – Budget airline Air India Express air-hostess has filed a complaint against a senior pilot, accusing him of insulting her at the work place.

MUMBAI – Budget airline Air India Express air-hostess has filed a complaint against a senior pilot, accusing him of insulting her at the work place.

Police at Nedumbassery acknowledged that she had filed the complaint against a senior Air India pilot a month ago.
They, however, refused to give details about the nature of the complaint, saying they can not comment on a case which is being probed.
Air India sources said nothing amounting to outraging the woman's modesty had occurred on the pilot's part during a briefing session in which some of her colleagues were also present.
Moreover, she had not registered any complaint with Air India or sought a department-level inquiry into any sort of harassment or insult, they claimed.
The Air India air-hostess, who hails from Mumbai, is on leave and has not returned to work so far.
Air India Express officials said she was granted a few days leave, but she has not informed them the reasons for extending it.
Such actions are against HR policy of the company and she may face department-level action for her "unauthorized absence", they said.
