PESHAWAR: A pair of suicide bombers detonated their explosives outside a historic church in northwestern Pakistan on Sunday, killing over 60 people in the deadliest-ever attack on the country's Christian minority, officials said.

JAFFNA: The Tamil National Alliance (TNA) secured two -third majority in the elections to the Northern Province Council in Sri Lanka held on Saturday.

The TNA won 30 out of 38 seats (28 direct and 2 bonus seats) while ruling United People's Freedom Front (UPFA) got seven seats and the Sri Lanka Muslim Congress (SLMC) won one seat.

The text book used by the Lahore Grammar School was banned after authorities received complaints from parents.
