Every individual wants to succeed and put in a lot of hard work. Some achieve success quickly with a little hard work, but others fail. The failure to succeed in life can make a person question their fate and doubt their capabilities. In such circumstances, one can read scholar Acharya Chanakya’s book, Chanakayaniti, to achieve your goals.
Acharya Chanakya was a great scholar and strategist and people read Chanakyaniti to follow his policies and observations. Chanakya Niti was written in the 4th–3rd century BCE. It is a collection of aphorisms written by Chanakya. If you also want to be successful in life, then as per the book, you need to pay attention to these 3 things told by Chanakya.
- Learn to control yourself
Chanakya Niti emphasises that self-discipline is the foundation of personal growth. Acharya Chanakya believed that having self-control by not acting on impulse and the ability to focus on long-term goals will lead to success. He believes that any person who can control themselves can achieve anything and whatever work a person has undertaken, they will make sure to finish it and not leave it mid-way. According to him, this makes a person rich.
- Refrain from depending on luck
Acharya Chanakya believed that no person should depend on their luck to succeed. Instead, they should be ready to work hard in every situation. Nobody can stop a person from becoming successful if they are willing to make extra efforts.
- Don’t tell your weaknesses
Chanakya Niti states that a person should never disclose their strengths or weaknesses to another under any circumstances. Acharya believed that such revelations cause the opponents or competitors to take advantage of this.
Apart from this, Chanakyaniti also mentions not revealing financial losses or sharing personal problems with anyone. As per the scholar, as soon as people get to know about someone’s problem, they will show fake support and will not help one out in the situation. Also, he believed that those who share their problems are ridiculed and disrespected.
