The Indian Army on Wednesday busted Pakistani claims about destroying Indian posts and said that the concerned video showed that the blast was from below the structure, ANI reported quoting army sources. The report also stated that such a blast from below usually happened in the case of IED blasts and not from artillery fire.

The army source informed that the Pakistani video claiming the destruction of Indian posts was fake since Indian posts had walls thick enough to withhold fire of Recoilless Guns. Earlier, in a response to India's video about retaliation against Pakistan along the Line of Control in Nowshera sector of Jammu and Kashmir, the neighboring country had released a video tape claiming that their army too had destroyed Indian posts on May 13, 2017.

Pakistan Army's official spokesperson Major Asif Ghafoor had released the concerned video and had tweeted denying the destruction of any Pakistani post by India on the same day. He had said, "No Pakistani post destroyed by India on 13 May. Indians tgt civ on both sides of LOC. Pak response restricted to military targets only.

On 13 May 2017, India targeted innocent civilians. In befitting response, Pak Army destroyed Indian posts in Nowshera Sec". Meanwhile, another press release by the ISPR had said, "Indian claims of destroying Pakistan Army posts in Nowshera Sector is totally baseless and misleading. On the contrary, Indian Army resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violation including heavy mortar and artillery fire on civil population in Bhimber Sector on 13th May which resulted in civilian casualties and damages to civil infrastructure".

The statement had further spoken about the Pakistan's alleged retaliation and said, "In wake of Indian aggression, a befitting and stern response was mounted on Indian posts causing substantial losses to military men and material (video clip 13 May Nowshera Sector). Notwithstanding, desire to maintain peace and tranquility along LOC, Pakistan Army remains undeterred and any misadventure by Indian Army would be responded with even greater force and strength".
